Well, in their environment they have at least experienced one time in their lives of eating a worm. From that experience, they can recognize it as food.
Even if they didn't taste a worm in their life, they would be curious at the thing thats wiggiling like crazy or is just plain starving and would eat anything it sees.

I don't think they LIKE worms,they just like eating them because that's the way they were made. Why do you like a hot-dog,an ice cream etc.? Some fish don't eat worms ,other species do. It tastes good,it smells good and looks like food.

fish dont aculy eat worns that was all brout on by t.v coz they couldent draw lures
