What kind of government system did Denmark had before it became a democracy and how and why did it become a democracy? Thank you so much for your efforts please let me know where you get the info so i can go and check it out.

Denmark became a democracy (constitutional monarchy) with it's first national constitution on June 5th 1849, and like other democracies it has undergone very significant changes since then.
Until this time Denmark had been an absolute monarchy since 1660. Until 1660 the king had been officially elected by a council consisting of the nobility (although usually each new elected king was a son of the previous), and his rule was regulated by a signed "pledge" to carry out a certain politic.

The Kingdom of Denmark was a constitutional monarchy, with executive power of Queen Margrethe II as head of state.

The Kingdom of Denmark IS a constitutional monarchy not was. Their congress is called the Folktinget, i believe too. Just google it for more
