Okay I recently worked up the courage to pop the big question and hoorey we're now enaged.We finally broke the news to the family and friends.They were all happy and smothering us with congratulations.Well I thought they were all happy,my cousin was all happy and smiling giving us her best and she puts on a bright smile around the rest of the family,but i've noticed recently that she's become very distant with my fiancee,they were always very close and instantly clicked,so I don't understand the sudden change.Now she'll hardly stay in the same room as her,she won't talk with her,hardly wants to even look at her,I asked my fiancee if they'd had a fight but that's not the case,it has to be something to do with the engagment as she avoids the subject like the plague,but I can't figure out why exactly.So i'll ask the oracles on Yahoo,why do you think she is acting this way?

Really, there could be a lot of reasons,asking your cousin would be your best bet . I hate to speculate but it sounds like either jealousy of you, your marriage or your girlfriend. How close were they? She may think your girlfriend did something wrong & she thinks she shouldn't marry you after what she did . Ask your cousin, only she knows for certain.

There could be a few reasons. She may be jealous of the attention you two are getting, she may wish she were engaged or she could be worried how your marriage may affect her relationship with you both. Her distance may not indicate that she is angry at all. She can still be happy for you guys, but sad for herself. Even positive chnage can be hard.
Just keep being her friend. She clearly doesn't want t talk about her feelings, so respect her choice to keep her thoughts to herself.

She is prolly acting this way because she is worried that since she is now engaged and getting ready to be married, she is worried she is going to lose a good freind, so she is distancing her freind early...why not have your fiance' sit down with her and talk to her

maybe your cousin knows something the fiance doesnt want you to know...better to ask your cousin rather than fiance...see what she tells you
