My husband thinks I shd wear sarees all the time. I told him its not comfortable.I love sarees and do wear them, however, not all the time.
He thinks its no big deal and that my objection is unjustified.
I told him that if he can spend 24 hours in a saree with the works,i.e. make up,jewelry, etc. then I would wear a saree atleast 3 days in every week.He has agreed.
Now I want to make him wear everthing,i.e. be fully decked up.
What all should I make him wear.Pls give complete details.I plan to compile a list from all the answers I get.
Let him realise how tough it is to be dolled up in a saree.

Make him wear a heavy saree with all accessories. And don't forget the high heels.
I can't believe he wants you to wear a saree all the time. That is so demanding, sorry to say. Tell him to wear a dothi all the time and see how comfortable he feels in that.
good luck and hope all get better between you two. have fun!

Tell him that now we are living in 21st centrury. If he sees u daily in sarees then after a while he will be bored of u. Its better to wear saree once in a day during office and if he really loves to see u then sundays if u r going out with him or on any functions.
For a working lady it is not a easy job to work and get ready with that saree. Tell him if he can do all the household work plus childrens work and also drop u to the office safely before going to his office, then u will wear saree daily.
Here he will definitly find the problems which a women have to face all the year.

well i think you can print this answer of mine and show him why it is not the right think to do for working women...
I think Saree was designed by men for women in India, they wanted to see some part of the body of their women all the time. If you notice one can see all your upper body with a saree, it is OK when your husband sees it...but what about this Nayan Sukh for rest of the public?
More over saree gives a lot of ideas to men after a long day of work...it is so easy to just lift it and ahhhh
Blouses material can show each and every grain of your Bra..another Nayan Sukh for public...
if you wear a saree i think your husband must ask you to go to your room for his Nayan Sukh...why would a man offer it to public...
I have 8 older brothers and i know why they liked women in saree.
I like saree as i can flaunt my feminity and i can flaunt my figure, i wear a saree to arose him and many times i wear a saree to a party as a fore play!
So dear Raniji for a day...how would you like your wife like that everyday on streets and office? Are you up for compitition ?
go to a tailor and get a few back less blouses usually Gujarati tailors are good to do that~

CPR sarees are not dumb..they are the most graceful Indian dress. But, not practical for day to day routine. Tell your husband that while cooking a saree is more like to catch fire than any other dress.

How about if you make a compromise. You wear a Saree whenever you have guest, or you go out someplace, but when you're just sitting at home, you can dress in whatever you want? Or also do that, but on weekends, even when you do do go someplace, you can wear whatever you want, unless you're going to a family party, or something?

dhoti, called Laacha in Punjabi, mundu in Malayalam, dhuti in Bangla, vetti in Tamil, pancha in Telugu, dhotar in Marathi and panche in Kannada, is the traditional garment of men's wear in India. It is a rectangular piece of unstitched cloth, usually around 5 yards long, wrapped about the waist and the legs, and knotted at the waist.

In northern India, the garment is worn with a Kurta on top, the combination known simply as "dhoti kurta", or a "dhuti panjabi" in the East. In southern India, it is worn with an angavastram (another unstitched cloth draped over the shoulders) or else with a "chokka"(shirt) or "jubba"(a local version of kurta). The lungi is a similar piece of cloth worn in similar manner, though only on informal occasions
see if he likes wearing 5 yards of cloth around
good luck

may be two things are there
first, your husband is narrow mind, he having bad eyes on others.
so he want you should be full covered in saree.

second may be he like sexy feeling with you in saree.

You try to convince him that you will wear saree sometime when he want.

not every time . if he is not agree you told him that you are looking sexy in full pain & shirt in day and night also.

when he feel uncomfortable,

He will relize your problem

Quite Simple. Wear a sexy ravishing dress one day and surprise him. I am sure he wont ask you to wear sarees again.
