Not yet! Laptops right now don't have any connections that can hook up to video cards fast enough. Desktops have PCI-E, which, at x16, tops out at 8 Gbps, but laptops just have "CardBus" to get by (which is equivalent to the older PCI slot) and tops out at 132 Mbps.

When laptops get some sort of externally accessible bus that can go as fast as PCI-E, you'll see external video card for laptops.

There is no connection for external video cards on laptops, and most laptops can not even get a video upgrade as the video chipset is built into the motherboards.

There is a Video connector on most laptops that allow you to plug in a external monitor though....

as far as my knowledge goes, no, i recently purchases a multimedia laptop from hp and the video card is internal, if you want yours replaced i would bring it to best buy ( geek squad ) and if you but the card there i think they install it free or for a cheap price
