every time I open a biology book... if there's a graphic picture... I just pass out. I can't help it, and it's starting to get annoying because every time it happens the teachers make me leave school and see the nurse. I'm fine health-wise, just really really squeemish. I also pass out in heat.. Anyways, since I'm going to be seeing more graphic images when we start sex ed next week, how do I prevent myself from fainting?

Well, fainting can be caused by a lot of things. One major cause is low blood sugar- try eating something right before the class, to get your blood sugar up. That will keep you alert.

Also, it sounds like you need to desensitize yourself to images you find graphic.

It sounds like this is really a problem for you- you should probably go to the doctor to get checked out. No one should be fainting all the time. They can probably also refer you to someone who could help you get over the squeamishness.

Uh... Never heard of such... Well, the best I can suggest is sucking it up and getting over it. It's not THAT big of a deal.

expose yourself to it in small doses at first, and increase your exposure gradually until you are ok to at least sit through the lecture. If you can't do that - close your eyes i guess...
