My refrigerator (GE-5 years old) is not cooling properly. Freezer is cold, but refrigerator is not cooling enough. I checked the condenser and evaporator fans. They work fine. Also noticed water accumulation in refrigerator. Any hints for repair? thanks

If it is frost free and there is water pooling on the bottom, take our your crisper drawers and make certain that the drain plug in the bottom of the refrigerator is not clogged. The water should be draining out into a drip pan under the refrigerator.

sounds like it is not defrosting....when this happens air in freezer does not circulate properly and cannot get down into refrigerator...that's why you have water dripping off of inside top of refrigerator...it is warmer than freezer...defrost timer could be bad (i replace a lot of these) ...could still be more problems like a bad thermostat...bad defrost heater...I would replace the defrost timer...it is usually mounted on the back of your refrigerator on the bottom right hand side ..easy to remove and replace...once you replace this before plugging your refrigerator back up you are going to have to defrost it completely.. once your sure it is defrosted plug it back in and let it run....make sure your freezer thermostat is not set above five as it is hard for your refrigerator to defrost if you have it set higher than that..if this does not solve your problem call a repairman

Look in your freezer and make sure you don't have it so crammed full that the vents in the back are covered---quick fix and your symptoms have been mine.
