Just keep practicing! Doodle doodle doodle all the time, and it will start to get better. Try to visualize what you want to draw, and focus on the main parts. What stands out? Where are the curves, and where are the straight lines?

A good way to practice drawing is by using the grid technique. You measure out squares onto a clean paper, and divide a same size picture into the same amount of squares. Then just take it ONE square at a time. Focus on that one square, and ignore the rest until you finish it. then move on to the next, etc. Keep in mind the size of lines, proportions, etc. And START WITH EASY PICTURES!

It really does not make a differecnce that you are a lefty, you can draw, and there have been a lot of artists that have been left handed as well as right. You need to just check a book out of your libiary, and all it has to be is on being to draw, it will give you the basic, and that is all you will need,, from their your work will take its own life from you, its creator. I like to say one of the easyest ways to draw that i can think of, is to think of what you r going to draw as just being lines. And when you can do that, then you can just draw the lines, that will go together to make the picture. So i wish you the best of luck here, which i do not really think you are going to need/, so it is also very improtant that you draw daily, it will keep improving, and you will even make your tech more to the point of where it is just the way you wanted it to come out, after you have completled ur drawing.

Also another little sercect, sometimes you can draw better, if you r listening to a music you really like a lot, and that can help, in time you will not need to use that neither anymore, cause everything will just be there, and come to you as you need it.

I'm a lefty that can't draw a stick figure either. I'm 31 and gave up on my not so artistic abilities long ago. I just accept that I suck. BTW, nice hat. Where did you get it?

For me drawing is not just using a pensil to draw objects and people, it takes a lot of memory to know what a face or object looks like, therefore I could not draw anything unless I see it in front of me.

I would reccommend two books...The Artist Way and Drawing for Dummies (no offense). I have both of these and they have really helped. "Drawing for Dummies" refreshed my skills and "The Artist Way" is helping with the "I can't" issue. YOU CAN!!! You just have to practice, practice, practice!!! Blessings to you !!!

you MUST have what others call IMAGINATION.
if you cannot imagine what your trying to draw, you cannot make any portrait out of it.

then PRACTICE..start drawing by having something to copy.
