Sometimes when we see ourselves in the mirror we aren't seeing the entire picture, we have a mental picture of ourselves inside our head where we look one way- but in reality it comes down to the pictures.

Same here. I look like 40 pounds heavier in pics than in the mirror. It's weird really. Maybe we're just not photogenic.

you must not be "PHOTOGENIC", I'm not either so I found that in order to take good pictures I privatley posed in front of a mirror and tried different poses till I got the one that looks best and whenever I take pictures I do my "picture Pose"......so now all the pictures that are taken of me all look the same.
but atleast they are not awful.
strike a pose!

Well, people are often very judgemental of their own pics. I and alot of people I know swear we look horrible in pictures while others say otherwise. It's either that, or you're one of those people that aren't really photogenic. Some aren't.

ok this is gonna be confusing but bare with me....
when u look in the mirror, u see ur appearance but reversed.but with pictures, its the reverse of the reverse. so u see what everyone else sees. (ur not used to that)

you are probably not photogenic.. and also, sometimes the camera light can be really harsh, especially at night. try to make the lighting better when taking pictures. if your skin looks oily, try something that controls shine...
or just don't take any pictures? : /

Because "yourself" in the mirror still alive but the "yourself" in the picture does not alive anymore and it wil become a history of "yourself"!

Your eyeballs send the image of you to your brain and the brain makes adjustments to remove the eyesore its looking at. The camera is only a mechanical device and sees you as the eyesore you are.
