On your keyboard, hit the windows key + the pause/break key at the same time, the system properties window will appear and list the amount of memory installed on your pc. If you can't get system properties window to appear that way, you can also right click on the My Computer icon on the desktop and choose properties.

You can find out how much memory by two way. First when the computer boots up, it will give the number of memory you have in your computer before loading windows operating system.
Another way in Windows XP is to click on start, control panel, click on the left to classic view. Now double click on System Icon. This will tell how how much memory you have in your computer (RAM) as well as the operating system and processor chip of your computer.

Start / Right Click on My Computer / Choose Properties and read what you see in the next window.
It should tell you all about your computer's internal hardware, including how much RAM you have.
