What does this rock band's name mean? I have heard that the 10cc refers to the average amount of semen in a man's ejaculation. Is that correct?

Yeah, i heard THAT theory that you heard also. I think i heard years ago that that the band referred "10cc" to the measurement of a teaspoon, or a tablespoon. Now, taking from THAT , what i got was either a drug reference, or 1 or more members were from the band "The Lovin Spoonfull". I dunno. All i REALLY know is that the first time i heard "Things We Do For Love", i thought it was a Queen song with Brian May singing lead vocals, think about it.....it DOES kinda sound like him, and the guitar solo did sound something like he would do. So....i bought that record (or tape rather...) with that song on it, thinking they were going to be Queen-ish sounding. Not to be....
