i think theyre all into their right.. im talking civil unions because you cant go into a christian church and asked to be married if youre gay, it goes totally against the religion... however in a civil marriage i believe the only real requirement is, or should be, 2 people that love eachother and want to form a family under the laws of man... the union should be treated just as legal as a union between a man and a woman... about adopting a child... thats a very debated issue, i dont think its a bad idea if the couple will teach the child morals and principles, although some might see what i said as ironic... what people have to understand and i emphasize this alot, is that homosexuals are normal people, normal people and therefore deserve equal rights... sure they have a different tendency but should not be treated any differently when talking about the laws of man

I don't mind if they adopt a child because at least the kid gets to go to a nice home but I do not believe gays should be able to get marriages, that is for a man and women only; they can however join in some way with out calling it marriage.

I beleive that Gay couples, should have the right to adopt, marry, next of kin, family health cover etc. Children require Love, and Gay couples can provide that love that is needed to nurture a child. Majority of the gay couples i know are very coporate, own houses, and have been in married like relationships for several years with the same partner. I believe they are entitled to the same rights that hetrosexual couples have!

I like the idea of children being adopted. I'm in favor of civil unions. Marriage is between a man an woman.

I'm what you would call liberal. But I hate labels. There's nothing to think about. A loving home is all that is required to make an adopted child happy.
And a loving home translates into well balance human beings who want to share in a child's life who wouldn't otherwise have a snowball's chance in hell of having a home.

I personally do not approve of either. However, I also am a Christian and therefore believe that I, not being God, cannot judge. I can however have my own opinion, and my opinion is most likely of little consequence to anyone else. God Bless you on this little journey you've undertaken, I hope you find the answers you were looking for.

After more than a decade in social services I've seen men and women do some amazingly soul crushing things to each other and their children. I don't think same sex couples could possibly do any worse.

Personal beliefs should have nothing to do with this matter, America is the land of freedom and equality for all, not almost all. If America is what we say it is then everyone should have the same opportunities and rights. Anything less would be hypocrisy.

Same-sex couples should be allowed to marry, and they should be allowed to adopt (following the exact same screening processes that hetero couples go through).

Well I think if you gay you need to be straight.Did you know in the bible God said only a man and a woman together as one flesh and homosexualitiy is wrong in his eyes.I say people need to find opposite sex and be happy. You already got what the other person got so why not find a opposite partner and make God happy.
