I became separated when I was 43 yrs old and I made the best friends I have ever had. It has been 16 years and many are still friends even though some have moved all over the country. I have found single friends are different than married friends, not good or better, bad or worse, just different. So the answer to your question is a definite YES!

anyone can make a new friend at any age. it does get harder as you get older though because people just arent as willing to make a bond with someone anymore.
