We cannot defeat terrorism with force of arms. Terrorism is a concept, as old as civilization.
And we certainly cannot stop all the terrorists in the world by attacking and occupying one little country that's in shambles.
But yes, if we keep sending troops over to Iraq for the next several decades, we will very likely become bankrupt. We've already run in the natinal debt in the past six years by over 60% of what it had been in the 225 years before that.

There is no way that an organization could exhaust our resources. That's why it's so important not to turn that organization into a movement that could possibly exhaust our resources. I believe that the opportunity for victory in Iraq has come and gone. Any fool can fight, but a true leader knows how to win. Now all we're doing is turning an organization into a movement in Iraq. The Iraqis do not want us there.

Eventually? Try SOON! There can be no military "victory" over terrorism. How do you beat an ideal with bullets? Really the only way is to change people's minds, and boy are we ever doing a great job of that.

You will expire as a life form before this is over. Luckily your attention span has nothing to do with the will of rational free people to say, STOP, this is enough.

No President democrat or Republican will be able to ignore this real threat until it is extinquished.
Comparing 200 year old dollars to today's dollars is irrational and grandstanding.

Al Qaeda is already successful with the US tied with Iraq and its economy on the downturn making it indebted to China. When the resources are already exhausted, Al Qaeda will go for the final surge.
