My baby is having issues. She is sucking her fist, drooling, being fussy, just got a MAD diaper rash.... from nowhere! I'm so stressed for her, it seems as though I am helpless in helping her. I have given her mylicon for her gas and then later gave her Tylenol which didnt seem to work. What is it and what should i do... yes, i know a lot of you are going to say take her to the doc but thats obvious. Anything I can do overnight?

Definitely sounds like she is teething. Taking her to doctor isn't going to do much good. Just keep giving her Tylenol and try a teething ring. That's really all you can do. If it makes you feel any better, my daughter is cutting 3 molars at once, so I know EXACTLY what you're going through.

If she has alot of gas its possible she may have colic, colicy babies suck constantly and cry alot, as far as the diaper rash try letting her lay with no diaper if its hot i would sya the heat is the cause of it... my little boy would get a diaper rash a very bad one when it was hot out last summer . she coul d be teething also my son started teething at 3 months its very painful for them, if you feel any teeth buds try rubbing some childrens benadryl on her gums, orajel makes there gums thick and harder for them to get there teth through. hope this helps

sounds like my 3 month old. My pediatrician said he is teething. I found that Motrin worked a lot better, the Pharmacist recommended that over Tylenol for teething pains. You might give it a try. Also if she uses a pacifier throw it in the freezer for a few mins, then give it to her.

Good Luck

I'd try switching formulas. Go to a soy base instead of milk base. Makes all the difference in the world. My son was very gasy the first week he was born with milk formula and then went to soy. He was sleeping through the night by the next week. Never had problems with my other boys after that. We used Parent's choice at walmart and Prosobee.

Okay.. diaper rash -- is it hot where you are, it's probably just from the heat and moisture.
Sucking fist-- probably hungry or teething as you are saying.. the teething should be easy, run your finger along her gumline and see if you feel any tooth buds that are trying to erupt. Try feeding her to see if she's hungry.. now, if you've fed her and that doesn't seem the solution try burping her to see if it's gas, also is she tired? There are so many possiblities.. but, I don't think meds are necessary just yet as you don't know what's wrong.

Diarrhea can cause terrible diaper rash... is she having diarrhea? Make sure to keep her hydrated and not dressed too thickly, if she is hot from running a fever. Sing to her.... put her on your stomach-... your heartbeat soothes her. Get a clean washcloth and dip one corner into cold water- not icy and have her suck on that.
