As with any Restore DO NOT THROW ANYTHING AWAY!!! Regardless of the condition. You may need it in the event that you have to compare the replacement or have it custom manufactured. Right down to the fasteners (Nuts, blots, screws ECT.) If a bolt breaks off find the closest match to it. Also make sure when you store the parts (And you will have a lot of them) that they are labeled where they came from for example the chrome around the windshield may be in 4 pieces. You need to use masking tape or anything that you can remove later and label them RHU, RHL LHU, LHL (Right Half upper, Right Half Lower, Left Half upper, Left half Lower). Hemmings will give you links to sites that have the replacement parts you will need. If you need a donor car talk to the boys out at Deseret Valley Auto parts (DVAP.com) and see what they have. There have been some good sites listed in the other postings. Check them out as well. Also you may want to contact the guys at Year one. (yearone.com) they have access to custom fitting parts for cars like that as well as resources to help you locate people in your area who may have the parts waiting. Hope this helps and hope you enjoy your project.

As far as chrome goes, take it all to a local chrome shop. (that way the parts stay original)
If you have a solid frame, then you have strength to work with.

Look in Hemmings Motor News for older off brand parts suppliers. If the body is shot, you may have to resort to 'glass
and if that is the case, then take it in and have it done by some one who knows how to work it right.
If you wind up using 'glass then know that it will never win any major show awards, but if you are only looking to have a fun car to drive, then it doesn't matter.
