you are absolutely right to second guess your doctor's "advice." please seek a second opinion. this may turn out to be nothing but you will feel better knowing you did what you could. if there is an underlying problem you can deal with it now before you are permanently affected by serious after-effects.
the severe pain you feel at the onset of your period is indicative of a problem. don't ignore your body. you've been menstruating long enough to know what is normal.
i speak from experience.

This is not normal at age 21 If ur Dr. was not a gyno find a gyno- If he was -then FIND another one. u could have a variety of things going on from endometreosis, cysts, tumor etc. Don't panic just get checked by the right Dr. good luck xo Donna P

Are you diabetic? type one million Diabetes is likely certainly one of the main basic motives of unexplained weight-loss. this would reason you to pass over your era. i could pass to the well-being care expert and get checked up if I have been you, perhaps you're actually not nicely adequate to have your era. and that i incredibly doubt this is maximum cancers on your fallopian tubes. there are such a number of issues a overlooked era can point out to, so do purely not hear to everyone that's supplying you with a particular illness.

normally when someone is missing periods it's caused by stress or excess worrying. but in your case things sound alot more severe and i definately think you need to see a gynocologist and not just some general practioner. you need to hear from a specialist's point of view.

I'm 20 and I've never had this happen or heard of it happening to any my friends. Birth control could help regulate your period.

I think you should see a different doctor.
