no, but i've used them for bait too. once caught a monster catfish with one. it was so big i couldn't lift him into the boat, so i took his picture and cut the line. the picture weighs 19 pounds!

I did! When I was 13. My dad was below deck on a boat he was building. The fish bent my bamboo pole almost double. I was screaming with excitement that I had caught something so obviously HUGE. My dad hit his head on the boat 'cause he thought I was being mauled or something. He was madder than heck when he came up. Add that to my disappointment that I had only caught a mudpuppy and you can guess that it wasn't a very happy scene.

I was using a waterdog for bait once. It flew off my hook as I casted the line out. The waterdog swam back to shore. I would not , could not use it again.

No! But I'd like to seeing as I never actually seen a waterdog in my life and I've always wanted to. But I've caught turtles and frogs on fishing polls before, and they're a b*tch to try and unhook without harming them...they're so stubborn and keep their mouths shut:-)

No cos I've never been to New England and adjacent southern Quebec west through the Ohio valley on to southern Manitoba, south through the Mississippi Valley to Missouri, Tennessee and North Carolina, and to northern Georgia, Mississippi and Alabama.
But its a salamandar - do you cook and eat them or throw them back
