The SK3 is a very good alternative to a PDA or Smartphone for people who are not in a large business. The phone quality is mediocre to say the least, but the service is probably pretty good. With its popularity, many have it as one of their number-one best phones for texting - but the current problems with this model are its size and bluetooth. If you are using this as a mobile communications device versus the use of talking, then it's about more than decent. Unfortunatly, its bulky figure will make it something you keep out of your pants pockets, and toss out the clutch bags for this one, girl. The SK3 is a great a accessory to pull out of a hobo bag, but the small purses sometimes won't fit it. The only problem about getting a SK3 is you can't have longer or "designed" nails, because the keys are a bit small. The interface is fabulous, it's quick and easy to use. Sometimes the trackball can get in the way if you have larger hands, and the cancel/select buttons take a bit of learning to get into. Email is a bit cheesy, to say the most. If you use the @t-mail email, then it updates pretty fast. But the accounts with Hotmail or Gmail may take some time to update - maybe fifteen minutes. So really, if you chat through email, I suggest asking the person you chat with get an IM name. Multitasking is pretty easy, also, or at least that is what I hear. The web browser won't open all pages, but it can get you signed on to MySpace or something.

Here is what my friend Jane-rae (SK3 Owner) Said:

the best thing about it is that it keeps you occupied with all the options that you have with it & the battery life lasts forever & the service. & the worst part is that well, there really isn't a worst part.

well the sidekick 3 isnt as great as u think it is. I played with one at the tmobile store cause i was thinking of getting one. I was very disappointed in the screen quality! its a very low resoultion screen and its really not that big either. yeah i mean its great for texting and email and the internet is cool cause they are real sites but hey most cells nowadays have real sites that u can look at so its not that special plus the speed of the web pages when they R downloading takes forever! yeah so it has bluetooth and a mmc slot and an mp3 player but like i said most cells nowadays have these common features. and the camera quality wow! its horrible! the 1st time i took a pic I noticed right away how awful the quality was ! Im like this is a 1.3 megapixel camera!? my 3200 Nokia phone takes better pics and its not even VGA qaulity! I think the only cool think is that the screen twists out. thats it. if ur going with tmobile get the Dash, now thats a phone worth getting!! trust me u wont be sorry! its absolutly amazing! the screen is stunning! it makes the sidekicks look really sad! :( and the key board is cool and its great for texting and email and the internet is very fast real web pages and the best part it has wifi bulit in!! I mean the list of features that it has is very long! camera great mp3 player bluetooth mmc slot its got everything! now if ur going with cingular get the samsung blackjack thats hot to loads of features great screen :) luv it! great camera to! if ur going with Verizon get the krazr or the LG chocolate they are both very cool phones beautiful screen take great pics and again loaded with features! I'll leave sprint out cause they are a total rip of and a waste of time! I had sprint they SUCK!!! get any carrier but Sprint! they will suck all ur money away! so yes the sidekick is a flop! and good luck in finding a great phone! Dash Dash Dash :)

The SK3 is best for texting and internet. The email is a bit iffy--- I've been having trouble getting yahoo and hotmail directly to my mail section so the only way I check my mail is by actually going on the internet. But it beats the rest of the phones I've had when it comes to texting and internet

I have a side kick 3.Its a pretty good phone. In my opinion its kinda fragile. I've dropped it a few times and its still alive but I love it. I love to text and rarely even speak. The text messaging is awesome!! I can never put my phone down. I forgot to mention the mp3 player. The only thing I dislike is that your personal mp3 cannot be used as ringtones you have to download them from T-Mobile
