The way someone looks or feels when they've had a hard time of it. From a horseman's term, when someone has not taken care of a horse after a hard day.
It is a derrogatory term

I always thought it was bad. I have heard it used only this way when someone was talking mostly about a female who had been around, abused drugs or looked really old for their age, (lots of wrinkles) ect... lol.

They are always throwing in sexual innuendos in their show. You would think their boobs and blond hair was enough to get attention. Sex sells. I still enjoy the show. I think Kendra is the smartest and that's saying alot.

actually, it does depend on how it is used- the answers about horses and stabling are totally correct, BUT, it is also used in a sexxxual context, meaning he/she just had some really intense sex!
