I would recommend the Midwest Suburban Baseball League as an option. This is the 4th largest Men's Adult Baseball League in the country. I play in the South Florida Baseball League, but I know some of the players up there and they are excellent.
The teams range from ex-college and minor league players to high school level teams. If you have a desire to play baseball, this would be a good place to start.

Some times they have open tryouts , so you better get a paper and keep up with the sports in Chicago. Also call the local talk sports radio and ask if the Cubs or White Sox are going to have open tryouts. If your good then you'll probably play A ball.

chicago has one major league team, the cubs. it also has three minor league teams. one is in kane county, one is in schamburg, and another is just south of downtown- but no one ever watches them or goes to their crappy ballpark.
