Do you seem like you fool around because your friends tell you? Or do you feel like you aren't up to the status quo? You probably just haven't found what you want to be when you grow up. Even if you are 30 or 40 that is quite possible.

Are you a good person, do you have good ethics and do you want to operate within legal options? If you can answer yes to all three of those you are half way there. Now you have to decide what lights you up. A piece of advice I'd like to pass is don't listen to what other people tell you that you will be good at. Every time I have listened to someone and followed their advice for my career it was wrong for me. I started following my heart - and my heart told me when to get serious and about what.

Something to consider for your future is a company in which you can touch multiple parts of the business, you may find joy in one of those avenues - then follow it. And don't rule anything out. You may be great in a call center, or you may be the next best chef to hit this country, maybe a sales manager or entrepreneur. Heck, you may even become a rock and roll drummer. It's safe to say you're not the only one experiencing this.

You need to research & set goals as to what you want to do, create a plan as how to achieve those goals, and take action following that plan. It usually helps if you have a best friend who will help you with this as far as motivation.

Maybe you just haven't found your area of interest yet. Have you taken any tests to help you figure it out? The Princeton Review site has a really good one that evaluates your interests and jobs that match your work style.
