From a man's perspective - very much.
I see an attractive female in the paper or whatever, and I'll stop to look! It's only natural. I wouldn't bother if it were an unattractive female - only natural !!
To add on - the 'body image', meaning degree of attractiveness, to a male(hetero) is of the utmost importance.
The same thing to a female could have many connotations(meanings). Women(girls) do go on about what they look like, but extremes are prevalent in females - 'Nuff said!!

I think you know the answer to that. You've probably felt it. I know I have. The pressure from the media for girls and women to be thin and beautiful is extreme. As a result, many girls feel like they're fat and ugly and not good enough. Despite knowing those people in the movies and magazines are just a stupid Hollywood ideal, I'm not satisfied when I look in the mirror.

makes girls try to stay slim,but hell i have a fat cuz name candy and all she does is eat and look at modeling books and has workout dvds.alyeah it puts big butts in style which i like
