No. It's about the birth of Jesus Christ in the little town of Bethlehem over 2,000 years ago. He was sent down here to live and walk among us and pay the supreme sacrifice for our sins. When we celebrate Christmas, we're celebrating the biggest gift that God gave us. It's Jesus' birthday. Santa doesn't really exist. The closest thing to Santa Claus was a Turkish gentleman who gave gifts to the poor long ago. The presents we exchange are symbolic of the gift that Christ was and still is to us.

When I was I child, Christmas for me was a time to receive presents from my Mom and godparents. .And a chance to eat "lechon" or roasted pig as well as rice and custard cakes. Until i read in a reliable article that Christmas was really derived from a pagan practice. And it's not even Jesus Christ's birthday, as taught to us.. Jesus was born between September and October.

With the hustle and bustle of buying gifts and planning parties, we sometimes forget the true meaning of Christmas.
It is the day we celebrate the birth of our LORD & SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST. If he had not been born, then he could not have died for our sins to make a way for us to go to Heaven.
We are soon to celebrate Easter and let us remember the love HE showed for us by dying that horrible death on the cross.

It's about pagans living in places that would get really cold and dark several months out of the year and so they decided this would be a really good time to have a feast, more than a few drinks and some general revelry to distract from the winter blahs. And I must say that as one who dwells in Minnesota, it was and is an excellent idea!
Then the early Christian missionaries showed up and thought, "You know, it would be a lot easier to convert these folks if we lifted a few of these celebration days of theirs...."

Yeah you kinda have been given the concept, staring / making eye touch with a woman does no longer mean the guy likes her. In MY attitude, it may propose 3 issues: one million. the guy is mushy chatting with the female, and is mushy together with her presence around (purely friends). I lots of friends that are females and that i constantly make eye touch when I refer to them, that's purely casual u kno? 2. the guy needs to fulfill the female / is interested in her (acquaintance). the two that, or... the female is extraordinary-finding or gruesome lol. yet nonetheless, adult adult males does no longer stare at a woman that long if she's like that. 3. the guy likes the female. He would not comprehend a thank you to precise his thoughts, yet needs he might desire to locate a thank you to accomplish that. i might enable you comprehend as we communicate up a thank you to tell which a sort of perspectives does a guy propose while he makes eye touch or stares, yet i do no longer think of i will. you will possibly desire to easily.. kinda sense it. good success, you would be extra familiar with it alongside the way haha. wish this helped ;)

Silly boy - you have been standing in the long lines at the cashiers stand far to long!
Christmas is about a small baby being born in the poorest conditions. Today, it would probably have been on a park bench in the middle of a park.
He grew to be a great man who saved as much of mankind as he could. He loved with all his heart both his mother and his father and his brothers.
He loved strangers and friends and family alike. He didn't have to sleep with them to have their respect and love. They gave it to him freely as he gave to them. No strings attached.
He was brutaly killed by the jealous people in the world, which fufilled God's words. He gave us all a chance to live like we never have before and not with lamp shades on our heads either.
He gave us live after death. Not the life to huant people's nightmares but a life that we can live with his father and him in a heavenly place that knows no jealousy, no fear, no anger and no hate.
What is the price tag? Only that you beleive in him and his father and do good things. My kind of price tag.
Is it yours?

Nah man, its about peace on earth and goodwill towards men. What chaps my butt like a sandpaper saddle though is that people think its only means for 12 days of the year.

It is about the birth of Jesus Christ. Celebrating the birth of the one who believed to be he who is our Savior.
Since that in itself can be considered by some to be like a baby shower ie gifts are given.
Unfortunately it has been more and more commercialized over the last centuries.

Beginning of winter. Old pagan Mass celebrating this, plus Santa Claus and the old pagan tradition of offering gifts at an altar.
