i think i'm feeling depressed.
to start with i think i'm weird. i don't usually feel sympathetic for ppl... but for animals... i do A LOT. My dad is gone... and he isn't exactly a great person... but thats too long of a story to explain. So i love him... but sorta hate him. I'm italian so i have a BIG family. And right now... i have a three year old cousin thats out of control. He says, "f**k you!" and also bites ppl, slaps his parents and grandparents, etc. So... there's always arguing about him. Right now... his parents are having problems which only makes thing worse. THen, when me and the kid argue... i always get blamed, and this makes me mad.
I'm also in school right now.... so its like every day is the same. and this makes me even more mad. I feel like i was born in the wrong place. My passion is in the country, on a ranch, ridin horses. I loove animals... but my mom doesn't. So i can only have a dog. Animals make me happy.
Does it sound like depression??? if so,

what are ways to help? bye the way... i also don't get a lot of sleep. And i live in a very blah place. in Florida, longwood. far from being a ranch place...which makes me even more angry. I wish i would've have been born in a more country place with a functioning family.

First off, I have to say you are deff. not weird. Im just like you, i feel veryy sympathetic for animals- more so than my friends. As for your cousin, well he is young and if there is a lot of stress in the family maybe he is just in need of some attention and love. I know what its like to have stress in the family- we are trying to pay for our new house we built. I have to say we are very alike, I love horses and animals too- we like out in the country in a small podunk town on 10 acres- and im sorry to hear that you don't right now becuase it sounds like you would have a lot of fun and I hope you get to have that opportunity soon. I am in highschool, it gets tough, and sometimes it seems like your dreams are so far and that maybe you might not get there. I sometimes feel like I was born in the wrong place too, its not just you, a lot of people feel this way. But just stay strong- hold your head up high and remember that there are people who love and care for you and things will get better if you have some faith. Best wishes for your dream to live in the country. I dont think this is depression- just a stage your going through where you want more than you have and just don't get down- keep your head up- it will keep better with time. It's normal to want to be somewhere else when everything seems to be too much to handle. Not getting enough sleep occasionally is okay, but not night after night.... this can cause depression. You need to do other things... accept what you can't change and change what you can. How about getting a hobby- away from the stressful environment for a few hours? You must have other interests other than horses and ranches.... maybe you will own a ranch one day with horses.... right now take care of yourself to stay sane.

Well, it sounds like you're going through a difficult period in your life, but not depressed (although your physician could give you a small questionare-ish test that would let you know for sure). Try to just avoid the kid, by the way. The older person ALWAYS gets blamed, no matter what. -_-
By the way, that whole animal-sympathy thing, that's normal. Animals are a heck of a lot cuter than people (haha).
Joining a club or something might mix up your day a bit, too, if that's what you're looking for.
Sorry my advice kinda sucks.

OK, stop!!!! You are not responsible for any of those people, only yourself! Yes, right now they have a lot of control over your life, that is o.k., when you finish school and get a career, you will get to chose where you live, what you do, who you associate with. Right now, focus, focus on your schooling, and just getting along with your family. You are not depressed, but maybe overwhelmed. You have dreams, ambition and are still a little annoyed at your locale, all workable in your life! You sound like a bright young person who is going to be a great asset to our world. Go out and take it by the horns, and when you decide you really do want to move to the country, come check out Kansas. We have lots of wide open spaces, have a great vet school- Kansas State University, and lots of horses!

everyone wishes they were born into a different family at some point. you don't sound depressed, but it might help to talk to someone outside of the family. as for the 3 yr old, don't bother fighting with him. what'll that accomplish? 3 yr olds can't argue.
school is school. it's the same everyday, but that's because it's scheduled. learn all you can, and try to make it interesting.
you'll be fine, don't worry. if you love animals so much, then maybe study to become a vet? then when you get a job, it'll be something you care about.

It sounds like you are suffering from depression, but it is based on the environment of your own creation.
You are in the city, so you need to come to some acceptance of that and decide what you are going to do there to have a wonderful experience of your school years. Right now you are wasting your time and making yourself miserable.
Thats the straight goods! Get yourself as busy and possible as quickly as possible in different things until something clicks and really gets you passionate about your life again!
Peace and well-wishes,
David ;)

Sounds like you have a big problem there, my suggestion is, why you dont get busy with your school? Maybe You can join a competition there, or join in a club. Or after u get bored in your house, you can have a chat with ur friend. About ur cousin, he will grow up, so soon he will change,

Depression would be a very normal response to your situation. Just wait until you're out of school and then go do what makes you happy.
