I am 37 years old and all my life, I have preferred to have male friends over women friends. Men are less likely to compete with you, they are sincere, and they won't stab you in the back like another female would. Anyone else have the same attitude?

I TOTALLY agree. I have had the opportunity to make friends with females but I always shy away from the situation. Men do actually make better friends. They are honest, not petty, and more trustworthy. I work with and always have worked with all men, and I have heard from females that I am very lucky. I just think it's easier to communicate with men, and they are very open and honest, and I find they are kinder to women, then women are to women. I think women start to judge eachother from the moment they meet, and they only begin to like each other after they feel they are "safe", but I think men become friends with you from the start, and only judge you IF you do something to hurt them. I always say it...women can be evil! And I am not gay either, I am very happily married for all those closed-minded people reading!

I definitely do. My husband hates it by the way.... Probably because he has never just had a female "friend". Causes some conflict.

But yes, I totally agree with you.... My best friends on the planet are male. I do have female friends also, but not as many.

I would much rather shoot pool, talk and joke.. than sit around competing and talking about how so and so got fat, and who's man is cheating on whom.... it is just so catty....

Not to mention, I am really not a huge fan of drama.

There are also guys out there like that also though, who get along better with females than they do with males.

My grandmother was hugely into astrology and she used to do charts and graphs on everyone when I was growing up. She used to be able to tell who had a male dominant personality and who had a female dominate one by their charts.. if you believe in that sort of thing.

So yes, I wear high heels, makeup, paint my nails and do my hair like a girl.. but I would rather hang with the boys...

hi, i agree with you about it but not all of it....you see i had about 6 or 7 male friends 5 of them were stabbing each others in the back just like what females do...so no difference
but i think that some times males acts nice with their female friends because they are females that's all...
my best friends are males and they are the best friends any body can get but believe me every day i wish for a good and honest female friend...
have a good day

I've alway had more guy friends then girl friends, specially since I was a little one. cause I am bigger, the girls never wanted to hang out with me, and the guys accepted me as a cool person to hang with. so I stuck to hanging with them too. I actually only have about 6 or 7 girl friends and about 22, 23 guy friends...I like it that way though.

37 and not married? Soon you're going to only have non-married friends and that means you will be hanging with a group that has a name that rhymes with "boozer".

Get marriend and hang with one dude!!! Don't WAIT!!
