No, they wouldnt protect him. Remember that Colin Creevey was petrified when he looked at the basilisk through his camera. In that case he was lucky, for only the film was "burnt". With Justin, Nearly-Headless Nick was the one that was affected, but since he was already dead, he couldnt die again. In other cases, it seams like the reflection itself doesnt kill, only petrifies (for example, Ms. Norris with the water and Hermione and Penelope with the mirror). Think of it as if someone was using contacts, they would see clearly and with practicaly no protection.
Hope it helps a bit ^^.

NO Because Cameras have Reflective lenses like a mirror and Justin was safe looking through Sir Nick because he is a foggy substance. The glasses are too clear but great question anyway.

You get more than stunned from the reflection, you get petrified. Remember how Hermione was all stiff and frozen? If Harry had gotten petrified at that time, the basilisk could have just crushed him.

You know what, that makes sense. But maybe the ghost is translucent, and it can block out some of the basilisk. Glasses are transparent, so nothing can block out the basilisk's eyes. Hope this helps! :)

By the way...
Did you notice that Harry doesn't have lenses in his glasses?

The glasss wouldn't protect him for two reasons. One is that JKR said so. The other is that they don't have the same reflective power as some other objects.

If he looked through a ghost he would pass out, if he saw it through his glasses he would die, glasses are transparent.

Those movies don't make much sense any way you slice it.

These kids are in a school of magic learning spells, while master wizards/witches are instructing them.

Yet the teachers never seem able to do anything while the kids run around and save the day? WTF?

And how is it that the villains ALWAYS seem able to infiltrate that freakin' school? And Dumbledorf is supposed to be the smart one.

I don't think his glasses have reflective lenses

no he wouldnt because looking though a ghost would be kinda blurry and looking through glasses would be clear.

it's not like looking through glasses gives him super reflective vision.
