I need to find the synonyms and antonyms for the word match or matches. There are many definitions, what I mean is to light something with a MATCH. Maybe I buy a box of matches to light my candle. PLEASE HELP! I can't find it out anywhere. I have been to dictionary.com and many others. Please Help!

Synonyms (depending on the context): light, alight, fire, afire, inflame, ignite, burn
Antonyms (depending on the context): extinguish, put out, quench, smother

Antonyms: Extinguisher, Snuffer

You might want to try "www.rhymezone.com" and type in light. I found alot of synonyms like, ablaze, spark, igniter to name a few. And antonyms like extinquish. These would possibly work with match, depending on how you are using it. Hope this helps you.
