no, in many states, mine (IL) included, it is still reported that women do not earn as much as men do for the same job.
i am 28 - here's how a lot of my female peers feel:
1. those who do work outside the home find themselves doing a ton more work than the pre-women's lib women. not only do they have to work 40hrs + outside the home, but do most of the at home work as well. thanks to women's lib many women of my generation find that they now have 2 jobs. men who "help" out do as much housework as a child doing a few chores. women cook 5-7 days a week, do almost all the cleaning, and most of the laundry. they run most all the families' errands, schedule everyone appointments, and basically are the ones responsible for finding a balance between work, kids, and family responsibilities.
2. those who do stay home feel guilty for not bringing in income, being a housewife is no longer though of as a job. they have to fight for access to money, and, are often embarrassed or ashamed about this.
overall, most bosses are still men. women rarely have jobs which require travel. if the kids are sick, mom is usually first to have to call in to work. mom is the one who most often does the daycare drops and pick ups. WOMEN OF MY GENERATION ARE NOW WORKING ALMOST DOUBLE THAN THE MEN, AND NO MATTER WHAT THEY DO, THEY STILL FEEL BAD ABOUT THE WORK VS. BEING AT HOME DEBATE!

Personally, I think women are so far and above men, I fail to understand why they seek for this so called equality that just brings them down to our level.

No, women and men are not equal. My wife does not have a penis, nor do i have breasts. Not equal, but something even better; we are complimentary.

We don't need to be equal in all ways.
What kind of equality do you mean?
Politically, yes.
