it actually depends on when you last had unprotected sex, and or your b/c method failed. if it happened the day before your period then taking a test 5-6 days later won't work.
you should take one about 3 weeks after the incident. if that test comes back negative, you should take another a week after that if your period still hasn't come.
if it still comes back negative and your period is still missing after that, you should see your gynecologist so that you can have a pap smear and they can do blood work. sometimes women don't produce enough of the pregnancy hormone for the home tests to work, but it can be detected with blood work.

Take on in about a week and if it shows a negative and you still have'nt had your period wait one more week. If it still hasn't come and you got a negative on the second test, go to your doctor and get a blood test and to make sure there is nothing wrong you. Hope this helps, good luck =)

You should take a pregnancy test like tomorrow its not to early to detect and the sooner you know the better off you will be and all the more time you will have to prepare.

You can take one now. They recommend using the first morning urine because it will be more concentrated & if it contains Hcg, there will be more of it built up. Good luck hon. Hope you get the results that you want!

you can take it now but try and take it in the morning because that is when the hormone is the strogest in your urine and it will helpp to make the test more accurate so you do not get a false negative

Everyone is different. I took a test the day after I missed my period, and it was positive.

tomorrow morning seems good. HCG levels are at their highest concentration inyour morning urine. But most home tests are sensitive enough to tell you any time of day after your missed period.
