Even if you're hot, that doesn't mean you should get the ball everytime.
One shot will change everything.
Im a Kobe-die-hard fan and i know that Kobe is patient. He wants the ball when he wants it. You will see it if he raises his hand. He is aggressive but he won't take one hell of a shot when he doesn't need it. They're settling for a good shot. That's why they're one of the greatest passing team in the league.
But, don't worry, with the Zen Master's plan is to give the ball to Kobe as early as possible.

Good for Smush and Luke. I'm sure that they would like to have a career also. It is a team, which means they all play together. Im pretty sure even you could score 50 points if you shoot 70 times and you never pass the ball. How ridiculous is Kobe!

I haven't really noticed it but I have noticed that LeBron doesn't get the ball when he's hot. Larry Hughes and Eric Snow don't get the LeBron the ball when he has it going nearly enough. And there are plenty of times LeBron has been sprinting down the court wanting Larry to throw a lob pass and Larry just turns the ball over, backs it out, or shoots an ugly looking jumper.
Oh yea Kobe's amazing. I want to see him back in the finals but I don't think he'll get there.

They are doing this because they know once kobe gets the ball he is going to shoot. All kobe is focused on right now is beating Wilt Chamberlins record, so he is leaving is teammates in the dust in order to do this. Smush and Luke are trying to get the other teammates rolling so they can be good too.

Because.. in Kobe's last 4 games he's scored 65, 50, 60, and 50 points.. he's obviously on fire.. why not give him the ball. he's giving them the win too. Kobe is the best player in the game!!!!!!!!

I think it wasn't on the Lakers' playbook. I thought that most of the time, Kobe received the pass either from Lamar or Kwame/Bynum.
Walton/Parker's job is to pass the ball to either Lamar or Kwame/Bynum.

yes. Lamar too. But Kobe takes alot of ill-advised shots. Whether he's hot or not, he shouldn't disrupt the flow of the offense just to set records or simply show-off.
