How can humans consider themselves better than any other specie of life when we can't do without technology?

We don't have any way of knowing what other species think. We don't know for example if that rats don't consider themselves better than humans because they don't *need* technology. Every species is entitles to the same kind of arrogance. It doesn't matter what does one base their arrogance on - presence of technology, superior survival abilities or, say, abilities to fly.

While it is true that homans rely too much on technology, think of where the technology came from. Humans. We invented it, we are improving it (too much), and we are a more intelligent species for being able to do so. It may not have been the best idea to advance technology to where it is today, as we are now getting to the point that we're just lazy, but we still invented it. We have great capacity to acheive more than any other species on Earth.

What makes you think we consider ourselves better when there is no other species as intelligent as ourselves to compare to? I am not being ignorant but without humans, there would be no technology to start with. So we are better if we can create something that a whole species relies on. It would be as significant as sparking a revolution or creating a lifestyle or any of the other important and essential things we have done. Think about it, then get back to me.

First off, I wouldn't say the assumption that "all humans" are "better" than other species. I would say that we choose to ignore the presence of other species far too often. This doesn't mean we think we our "better", simply we don't think of them at all.

And second, technology is obviously more powerful and more capable than natural occurring phenomenon (nature is randomly directed, technology is intelligently directed) I wouldn't say that ths means technology makes us "better", but possibly better at survival and intelligence.

Why do you think we can't do without technology? I think we choose not to. Even as cavemen, we could have eaten berries, raw meat, etc. Humans have the ability to use tools. This is an advantage that we have. We do not need to use this advantage, but why wouldn't we? Just like chameleons have the ability to change colour, cheetahs have the ability to run fast. They choose to use these advantages to make life easier, as we do.

and you, are dead right. we can't do without technology. cavemen hunted with weapons (technology). they cooked their food (wasnt until a later period... but they eventually did) with technology (fire. its technology).

native americans. on their travels, they built huts to survive. so they could sleep and be protected. not only was it pretty safe, it was portable. and it was technology.

so um... even though some technology is just a convenience, humans cant survive without technology. thats why we have brains. good ones that can think. thats why we have thumbs. so we can create.

Hello. Let me start off by saying that the creation of MAN (i.e. mankind as a whole) was the CROWNING creation of God. God took the dust of the earth and breathed the breath of life into his nostrils. God did not make anything else whatsoever out of the dust of the earth and put spirit inside to bring to life... and have a will and intellect. God sent His Son Jesus to DIE for mankind, consequently there is no Savior or Substitute for the animal world or the angels (which is why satan will NEVER be redeemed) or anything else for that matter friend. God set His love on man, died to redeem him, and upon redemption from his fallen state makes him a CHILD OF GOD! As for technology, God blessed man to have it and use it. It is really for Him and for the Body of Christ... though it's been stolen by satan. Man due to his fallen estate has habituated himself to be so dependend on it. It's fabulous that via the internet I can chat with people around the world. That's tremendous. So think on this friend.

Technology is our strength, it is what makes us Superior( or, at least apparently Superior) to other organisms. A bull wouldn't do so well without it's strength like we wouldn't do well without technology. In a sense we are equal.

Seriously, saying we couldn't do without technology is like saying a bird couldn't do without its wings; it's true, though it doesn't make us in-superior.
