i think they're efficient and very useful in day to day business life - particularly as i work in the transport industry and quite often have to contact people on the road.
And going out at night i am lost without my mobile. I like being able to be separated from my friends and being able to find them again...
Responsibility is the key

Yes I would "uninvent" the cell phone if I could.-----You betcha!!
I would miss mine but the positives far out weigh the negatives
Safety on the road, less accidents, insurance rates would drop, lives would be saved.
People would pay more attention to driving. More solitude all around you when people aren't talking so loud that you hear all their business and you can't even think your own thoughts.
My husband and I often wonder how some people managed their lives before cell phones. I would love to see how they would manage again without them. That would be funny~~Jill

With reason, I might. They are a little annoying, and most areas carry a payphone. They do cause things like the Patriot Act though, which is a bit much.
However, the making of cell phones, the sales and distribution all give people jobs, and in urgent times people may not have change or a phone nearby. People may not carry change always. Cell phones are way more convenient.
Unfortunately, you did not give me a reason why I should.

No - we need them like we need electricity. I would make them not work while driving. It's a distraction like alcohol or drugs or even fatigue while driving.
Why else would they invent CALL WAITING???
I think about 9/11 and really think the cell phone allowed people to either call for help, or say goodbye.
It's a keeper.

Yes. I would miss the people in restaurants that talk louder since they want everyone to know how important they are for getting a call while that are out to eat. Does that get you too? Or is it the drivers who are constantly flappin their gums while driving....
