Describe the role of Nationalism in his rise of power.

He made everyone in France glad that they were French, and convinced them that the best thing they could do was to make France bigger. It was a dumb idea, for the usual reasons.

3. Give the reasons for the progression of Napoleon to power in France.

He was brighter than anyone else at the time, the Revolution having removed all the content-filled heads in the country. Quite a guy, actually.

WHAT WERE THE MAIN REASONS THAT NAPOLEON ROSE TO POWER SO QUICKLY AND EFFECTIVLEY

Same reason Hitler did: he promised a lot to a nation that was hurting badly.

3. Describe the structure of French government after Napoleon's defeat in the Battle of Waterloo

Beats hell out of me. I would imagine that the whole works was owned by whoever beat France.

4. Was the government different from the previous governments? How?

Oh, probably not. All French governments are about the same; lots of bureaucrats who hang around from one regime to the next.

WHAT HAPPENED TO NAPOLEON AND TO FRANCE IN THE END?

They tried one government after another. Some had kings, some didn't. The current arrangement isn't all that old, and might change next week for all anyone knows. After all, this is France we're talking about. They're not real efficient.

4. Describe the 100 Days

Well, Napoleon had some help and escaped from Elba, the equivalent of Guantanamo back then. He raised an army and headed back into Europe to fight some battles, and if he'd had a bit more luck he might have beaten everyone.

5. Describe the battle of Waterloo & the immediate results.

He lost.
