My husband is in Iraq so if you have the same extreme heat to think about I understand. If he is just away and not in the military your options are endless. You could send some dried rose petals a letter and card. His favorite candies, a favorite movie you two watched maybe the one from your first date. A board game he loved. Just think of some of his favorite things and make it a little interesting.

If it is possible you could arrange him a flight home and you all could go out... if not send him a really long letter... and maybe a tube of your cookie dough lip gloss or a dried rose or something something he could remember you by... and after you send him that on your anniversary you could call him and just talk... I think that would be REALLY nice! GOOD LUCK!
