torrent clients?

Stupid question but if I shut down my computer when I'm downloading something using a bittorrent will it still download , or will it cancel?

When your pc shuts down your client will stop to download, but when you start your client after starting your pc, you can resume the downloading..

once you shut down it will stop also go buy the program and quit ripping these hard working people off
