There is a tree currently blooming in Louisville, KY. What is it?

It has pink flowers that look like big tulips. Most I have seen have multiple trunks, bit I have also seen them with a single trunk.

Sounds like Japanese magnolia

Right now we have Red Buds and dogwoods, and flowering plums blooming. Where is the tree? If I'm in the area I'll take a look and see what it is. Good luck.
