"Milk immediately poured on red wine stains will remove the stain like an eraser. It's the fat in the milk. It absorbs the molecules. Use whole milk or half and half. The fat in a liquid form penetrates. The cold stops the spread. Let it soak awhile to penetrate and absorb; the red will disappear immediately.

Put it in cold water get as much of the stain out as possible. Spray it with a stain remover such as Shout and wash in in cold or warm water. Do not use hot.

Wine An enzyme pre soak product or oxygen bleach should do it. and use really hot water. After laundering,if the stain stil persists the wash again, but this time add bleach if it is safe for the garment.

I had red wine spilled on my white capri pants. They sat for 3 days b/c I was on vacation. I thought they were ruined. I bought some oxyclean, let it sit for a while, washed it in cold water... came right out. No sign of it.
