I recently found out my sister works as an exotic dancer. I discovered this on the web because she also has her own site. It appears that she has been doing this for at least the last few years but she managed to hide this from us somehow. The odd thing is I would think strippers would make quite a bit of money but she never has money practically. She is always behind on bills. Her car isn't even running quite right. She recently moved back in with family. (where she doesnt have to pay rent) So I have no clue where her money is going. Do you think drugs? How much do strippers make?

I don't have any idea as to how much they make, but I'd be willing to be that they make pretty good money if they are any good at what they do.

She is probably into using drugs. Lets face facts the fact, it isn't the most up standing job and it most likely makes her feel used/horrible about her self. She probably has no self esteem to be doing some things such as that.

I would say that she is most likely using drugs. You/your family members need to talk with her and get her the help that she needs. It must already be a pretty bad situation if she is always behind on her bills and her car isn't even working. Plus she isn't even able to pay for rent for her own place. She is in big time trouble of some sort and it most likely is drugs. Don't be judgemental when talking with her since the idea is to get her the help that she need. Be tough but not judgemental, you don't want her to leave and not take some kind of help that could save her life. Make her see that she needs help and she needs it now.

Talk with you family members and get her the help she needs before it's too late. Street drugs will end up taking her life. She needs all of your help to get her out of the situation that she is in. Don't let her start using your family members as a crutch. Make her responsible by having her get the intervention that is need for her to be the person that she can be. Do this before it is too late for her life to be saved or before she ends up doing time in prison. Don't let her con you, make her see that all of you already know and that she must get help. Don't let her live off you or your parents, that's only enabling her to be able to use her drugs and live a bad life.

I have seen a lot of people hooked on street drugs. I have seen them come into prison all drugged up, it's not fun when you see women pregnant and on drugs. It really hurts your heart to see that, especially when your a mother your self.

i work at an exotic store in new york selling stripper clothes and shoes. and my store happens to be in front of a high class strip club in manhattan. dancers all over new york come to buy their stuff from my store. sometimes it depends on the club she works at. manhattan clubs usually have the best clientele... like business men and wall street types and also celebrities. manhattan strippers earn much more than the ones that are in the other boroughs like queens or bronx or brooklyn. i have a friend who works at a high end club in manhattan and she takes home about 5,000 dollars each week. pretty good considering she only works 3 days in a week. and also, the dancers who come to my store say that the busiest time of the year is fall and winter, and summer is usually slow.
