I think Honda Elements and Pontiac Aztecs are pretty freakin ugly. As for older cars, the Yugo was the smallest, ugliest little thing known to mankind.

With the edsel it's not that it didn't flop, but it was more a marketing mistake than anything else, maybe a design before it's time. But I find the edsel a pretty car, even more so when compared to a lot of the cars today...
But let's see, my list in no particular order:
* Chevy Avalanche (sorry we think we overdid it)
* Renault Megane (not bad except the butt, omg the butt !)
* Pontiac Aztec (but others share that ugly smashed front and rear end look, just with the Aztec it spread everywhere)
* Toyota Scion xB (actually it's more that its looks defy wind resistance cheating ability so apparently it meets fuel economy standards while it screams 'I am so slow')
* Chrysler 300 / Dodge Magnum (and there's others, Chrysler's body style designer apparently had a sexual attraction with the 'I pulled my pants up to my neck' look).
* Mercedes Maybach (more headlights, please)
* 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser (well we were thinking of a boat)
* Fiat Multipla (please stop production, yes, now)

If you want to go really ugly you need to look at a 1946 hudson pickup.
They are so ugly their own Moma won't claim them.
