I love my mother and my father, but I miss my grandmother (father's mother) most in daily life (she passed in 2001). She was easier to talk to than just about anyone in my nuclear family. Oh yes, my stepmother fills that area now. She is one of the most spiritual and perceptive women I know! (She's an Episcopalian and devout, but she's very open minded and of MENSA-level intelligence).
