It's cool because Apple says it's cool. It has standard features, usually being the ability to play Apple-format videos, apple-format music, etc. It's also slightly, SLIGHTLY more stable than Windows, because it's written with UNIX. But all the Apples I've seen are wicked sketchy. Apple has built a culture where people swear by their Macbooks, but won't admit that in many ways, they are inferior to PC, or standard laptops. (Don't forget, Apple goes out of its way to insult PCs and Windows products as much as it can. Usually, when the weaker guy KNOWS he's weaker, he'll try to discredit the opposition. Just a little thing to think about.)

Dude, just go to Apple.com and go to the Store, that's what i'm doing. Im going to go and get a Macbook Pro, for high school. You should wait until Leopard comes out, the new OS, instead of Tiger. It'll blow away Vista. I'm just starting to like Macs, and i really want more people to buy them. They just work.

it's cool, cuz its an Apple... the screen is brighter, the features are stunning, the computer is faster than PC with same MGHZ.... so go for it
