Ok I posted this debate about NBA vs. NCAA and everybody’s argument for the (NCAA) was

1. “The NCAA has upsets ----- the final four has two #1’s and two #2’s where were the upsets??? Last year the fifth best team in the NBA won the championship (Miami)

2. The college players play for their school and not for money! So why are so many players leaving school early, to come to the NBA

3. Because of the “passion” ----- Did anybody checkout Kobe recently that is the definition of passion

4. The fans are better ---- In the NBA it cost $300 to get front row seats for a regular season game and the fans still come out. Try that for college regular season good luck!!!!

Bottom line is the NBA is all around better hands down !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The NBA have so many show-boaters, and 1 man teams. I agree, there are a lot of college players that leave after 1 year and how can you blame them if they are going to make boogoo bucks? But watching a pro game vs a college game. There is more team work rather than a one man show.

ok counter debate to all of your points
1) even though miami was the 5th best team in the nba acording to you.. in college they would be a two seed knowing the fact that 4 teams above them would be one seeds.. also this is the first time in a while you can say only one or two seeds are in.. last year george mason made the final 4 as a 11 seed and by your little standards that from 44-48 best in the ncaa..
2) the reason some, not all, players leave early is so that they can make money... why do you go to your job? make money... should we expect you to stay in high school/college all you life..no go get a job
3) kobe does not equal passion.. kobe is the reason most fans dont watch nba.. sure hes droping 50 3 nights in a row.. how many rebounds, assist, or even better defenisive stats did he get?? not that many. he is not passionate for the game hes passionate for scoring and boneing hoes from colorado. look at players like noah.. 20 points 10 boards and played some damn good defense today..
4) the fans are not better... how many times do you see students rush the court to be with there team after they won.. they feel they are part of that team.. so what if in big citys there rich *** whipes that want to drop 300 bucks for floorside seats.. money does not make you better..the love and respect for the game is a real fan and if you show up to even the lowest level schools there will be fans with the shirts off screaming for there team...

NCAA is way better than the NBA. It’s hard to argue that point with someone who hasn't played for a school team or went to college but I think there a several good arguments to show that the NCAA is a pure and superior form of basketball.

1. Rivalries and traditions - everyone loves them and in the college game they more intense. Duke - UNC will always matter while Dallas - phoenix will only matter as long as dirk and Nash are playing.

2. March Madness - is perhaps the greatest sporting event ever. The amount of teams competing, the pressure of one loss and your out, and how lower seeds can do well. How everyone fills out brackets, it’s almost like a basketball holiday where people skip work just to watch it. While the NBA finals and playoffs have had decrease ratings almost every year.

3. Passion and the fans are better in the college game. If you talk to your $300 NBA fans you realize they are not die hard fans but they are just rich basketball posers who know nothing of basketball and are only sitting courtside because they couldn’t afford luxury skybox seats. Unless a big superstar is in town most NBA arenas don't sell out but if you go to most colleges the games are always sold out so just because it cost more doesn't mean the fan is better. I would much rather see a game with die hard college fans than with celebrities and groupies who go to an NBA game on a whim.

NCAA>NBA

1. Passion. I haven't checked out Kobe recently but if he's like the rest of the NBA then he's probably doing more jogging than running and looking like he'd rather be somewhere else than at work. Passion is Neitzel slapping the floor on DEFENSE and screaming after a big 3. Passion is Hansborough getting hit hard for drawing a foul 3 days after he breaks his nose. Where was Shaq again after breaking his toe? In the NBA people just basically walk up and down the court because it really doesn't matter if you win or lose. Of course, it's hard to play with much energy when you're 43.

2. Teamwork. With all the trading and the "optional" practices (for Iverson at least) it's hard to find a team that looks like a team. Most players in the NBA wouldn't make the extra pass to a teammate that has a better shot, they'll just take the shot themselves.

3. Fans. Don't tell me rich people make good fans. You think shelling out $300 is devotion? Duke fans live in a tent by the courts from January to March for a ticket to the Duke/UNC game. The college fans paint themselves up and scream themselves hoarse. Half of the NBA crowd is gone by the 4th quarter if the game isn't close.

4. March Madness. What's NBA's March Madness? All-Star game? A circus, just like the regular season. Playoffs? Best 4 out of 7, where losing one barely matters, just like the regular season.

cmon man NCAA is so much better to watch. Its so much more exciting than the NBA to watch. In college basketball you get to see young players blossom into superstars. The only reason some people watch the NBA is to see their favorite college players in the pros. I am a big NCAA fan, I used to only watch NBA until 4 years ago. There is more passion in the NCAA though. All the NBA players are paid to put on a show. If you could put on a show without being paid, THATS PASSION. Anyways what does Kobe know about passion.

The NCAA wins this buddy sorry to tell you that but it's true. College players do leave college for the NBA, but to get to the NBA they have to play their game the best way that they can, so instead of the idea that whether they lose or win they get payed these guys are playing to win because they have to.

in ncaa the games are more exciting. most nba's just care about the money, win or lose they get it. they are over paid. ncaa ballers play with any injury possible. shaq missed 2 months with a toe injury. besides the ncaa players are the future of the nba.

1.there were plenty of upsets in college this year. vcu, winthrop, unlv just to name a few.

2.thats exactly why they go to the nba.... to get paid. they arn't paid in college. less than 2% of college players ever go pro.

3.ask shaq about kobe's "passion"

4. have you been to an atlanta hawks game lately? not exactly a hot ticket. and half the people in nba arenas arn't fans. their mostly there to see and be seen.

thanks for your time!!!!!
