They will lighten. I just had my baby and mine seemed to lighten after I delivered, because they get smaller I guess. Continue to use cocoa butter on your tummy and other stretch mark areas, even after you deliver. Vit. E also works well. I would always load it on and then put a tank top on under my shirt, so it wouldn't stain on my clothes (its greasy). Good luck.

Well...I hate to say this, but you are going to have them for probably the rest of your life (they will probably fade over the years though). Get some of that stretch mark lotion (Palmer's is sold in most department stores and drug stores) and use it religiously to lighten them. But I got stretch marks when I was pregnant 2 years ago and they are still way more noticeable than I would like.

Stretch marks are usually red/purple and very visable during pregnancy. But yes they will lighten up after birth, maybe not right away but gradually they will become a silvery color. On light skin they shouldn't be very noticable.

Gonna have to give it time.. My skin is very light as well and my stretch marks were really dark.. After a year they started to look lighter, but now baby #2 is on the way so I am going to have to wait untill this pregnancy is over to try to get them to fade again....

They will lighten up, so don't get too discouraged! I am very light skinned as well, and I worried about this a lot. Mine have lightened a whole lot, but I haven't found a darn thing to help to reduce them! If you find something that works, please share!

Hi,
They will lighten up so you dont see them and some may even disappear. Don't worry about them. Buy some cream with Vitamin E, that helps.

they will lighten up eventually but they will always be visible unless you have a tummy tuck and even then all of them will not be removed try a really thick and rich lotion to keep your belly skin hydrated to avoid other stretch marks

for a while they will stay that color..but then about a couple of months later they will lighten..try using Palmer's stretch mark cream..it has collagen and elastan in it and it works great for me..good luck and congrats..
