For example, someone getting harassed by a stronger person, or someone who isn't handicapped, parking in the handicapped space, etc.

I asked is b/c my brother-in-law is in a wheelchair. Many people park in the handicapped space at the bank since it's near the ATM machine. They do not have the placard or plate indicating they can park there. I've often parked his van behind those type of people, lowered his lift, wheeled him out & into the bank. For some reason, no one we blocked has ever said a word to us about it & wait patiently until my brother-in-law has completed his banking.

Yes and I am pretty loud about it. The only thing I do not do is get involved with trying to determine is someone is handicap enough to park in a handicap spot.

For instance, my honey has a handicap sticker and is handicap so some extent. He had surgery last summer giving him even more of a disability (he is totally healthy now by the way). I ran out to his car to get something for him when were running an errand so that he wouldn't have to struggle going back to the car. Some lady started barking at me about not being handicapped. So I set off the panic button and started screaming at her for making fun of handicap people. I even asked her if she would like to come into the place of business, find my honey and slap him for being a gimp.
People that assume a person isn't handicap and make a scene to cause a handicap person to feel embaressment is disgusting. And I shouldn't be harrassed in public for doing a good deed for someone who is handicap!

I speak up when people say or do prejudicial things around me. I catch a lot of flack for it, but if someone does not speak up when people are being mean about different races or different lifestyles, then they are being a part of the problem.

About handicapped spaces, I have never been involved with that for 2 reasons. First, that is more of an issue of law and second I stay out of things where people could have a gun and might take their anger out. Same with road rage.

Yes, I am an activist. I have helped many people who suffer from harrassment; it is the kind thing to do... and at the end of the day,it leaves a song on your heart.

If I am around and it happens I will say something and end up fighting for him, with the handicapp space. I have never ran into that problem. because I park in one with my mom who is handicapp. but if she is not in the car I will park in a regular parking space.
