We mess with the BCS each year because we need to try and fix the impossibly moronic system. The only true way to fix the problem is a playoff...seems to have worked for college basketball, I need to check my brackets now...

Say what you will about the BCS, at least we can get the top two teams to play each other now. In the old days Texas vs USC would never have happened and people like us would still be here debating who would have won. Fact is, the BCS is a playoff. It's just that the 2 team playoff we now have needs to be expanded. The BCS is not perfect, but it's a helluva lot better than what we had.

Because the BCS makes money for college football programs, and they'd rather tweak a flawed system to "fix" a problem that the previous system exposed than scrap the system and decide the national championship the way they do in every other sport and at every other level of college football; a playoff.

the bcs is the way it is because of the president of the big ten conference. he will not change it because of the money it brings in for the big ten because it is one of the "bcs" power conferences. he does not want to give teams like boise state(i am from idaho) the chance to get into that money. when he is dethroned and they get a nuetral commisioner i expect we will see some changes but i don't think his contract is up till 2012 so more crap is still to come!

Why might I hire a janitor who made the mess? It replaced into the bill Clinton inexpensive domicile act that created the loan crises. So why hire an identical variety of janitor to freshen up the mess he made attempting to freshen up the mess he created making cleansing up the mess.
