I am sure he has some sort of fans out there voting for him but the judges are not his fans! Don't you watch Simon and Paula every time he ISNT voted off...they are not happy! In fact Simon said if Sanjaya wins he doesn't want to do the show anymore. Do you ever watch Sanjaya's face when he is not voted off? He is always like what? For real? I am not going home? There is a website called www.votefortheworst.com. This website is promoting Sanjaya. This website started a couple of seasons ago and they orginally started to see if the show was a hoax. They wanted to see if the producers sent home who they wanted to go home and if the person who won was picked by America or the producers of the show. So this website started promoting the worst person on the show to see if they would ever go home. Now this website could really careless what happens with the show. Last week Howard Stern talked about the website and since then this website has gained even more popularity. There are also a few radio stations promoting votingfortheworst.com. I honestly do not think that Sanajaya is still on the show because he is good...It is because of all of these radio stations and websites encouraging people to vote for the worst.

Sanjaya Malakar, 17, is from Federal Way, WA. He auditioned in Seattle with his sister, who was eliminated at the Hollywood stage of the competition. Sanjaya says he started singing as a little boy and had formal singing training.

I have a theory that American Idol pays no attention to the votes whatsoever, and cuts who they want to.

Let's say there's a b*tchy contestant who causes drama with the other contestants. People would probably vote her off. But do you think for a second that the producers would let her go from the show and sacrifice all that drama and tension? No. They'll keep her on.

I'm not saying there's a contestant like that right now, but it's an example.

They might be keeping Sanjaya on because there's so much buzz with people asking why he's still on when he's so bad, that it actually draws more viewers. They won't let him go until it gets really down to the wire. Votes mean nothing.

You know what kills me is that Stephanie Edwards had one bad week and she got voted off (I think she did better than most). Meanwhile that curly head, gay Sanjiyah has been terrible the whole time and he never once got booted.
That really bothers me, but like the judges say "It's up to America to vote, and it's girls like Ashley (the little girl who was crying all night), that have that fool staying around". If that boy don't go home next week I give up becuase it's not right that other good talent is leaving the show.

He has the vote of the young prepuescent girls as well as the Indian vote. Remember the little girl who was crying her head off last week? I also think he has a segment of the "sweet old lady" vote.

I HAVE NO IDEA!!!! he sings like a little girl! and is so far from outgoing it reminds me of a crab stuck in his shell. he is probably on still because 10-12 year olds are voting for him. Like the one in the audience.
