My best friend and I have been best friends for 12 years. We are both female, we both have boyfriends and we are both straight. Her 19th birthday is in two weeks and when I asked her what she wanted she told me she wanted a Toy Joy Cosmic Cupid Vibrating Dildo. I dont feel comfortable buying her something like that. I dont want to upset her. What should I do?

I wouldn't buy her something that you feel uncomfortable buying and as she as your best friend, she should know that it would make you uncomfortable. I would have told her right then that is not an option to chose something else. Tell her to chose something else that she would like that doesn't involve sex toys. Or, just buy her a gift card to a store you know she likes or a restaurant she frequents and forget about it and not say anything. If she asks later why you didn't then tell her you don't feel comfortable with that sort of thing. I wouldn't buy anyone that either.....Ever.
