My sister did E-harmony and now is married to wonderful guy. It worked for her. Personally, I feel weird doing it. I'm not good about posting pictures of myself and talking about myself a lot.

Actually to me E harmony is the worst. I have a friend who went through them, she was looking for a guy who shared her interests as well as the fact that she was in her 50s. She wasn't interested in men 25-30 years younger than herself and she kept bringing that up to those at E Harmony. Yet they continued to send her profiles of guys in their 20s and early thrities. She went out with a couple of them but nothing ever really meshed since they really had very little in common. Let's face it a woman from the era where we used to MAKE our own skateboards out of scrap wood on our father's work benches and old skates and a guy who STILL does tricks and uses a "store bought" tricked out skateboard don't have that much in common.

There was a story on tv about e harmony in that they hired folks to pose as folk interest in someone just to get to stay longer and pay more fee's. The idea behind paying for their service is to make you think that someone looking will pay for the serve. But they in turn just plug in some friction person that may seem to be interest in you.

I wouldn't go through a dating site but I initially met my boyfriend online through friends as we live in two different states.

online dating can be ok, depends, even if it is a known website. there can be a freak online. so u just hav to make sure the person is being real online. but i know people that have met online, and got married..
