From a realist's and humanist's perspective?
Man isn't 'inherently' anything. Despite what many Christians will tell you about "all have fallen short" and that nonsense, it is actions that define how 'good' or 'evil' someone is. We are all 'good' and 'evil' at different points in our lives, and it's perfectly all right. We need the ying to balance out the yang.
To advocate moral absolution is to leave little room for questioning and doubt. That, in itself, is deadly.

Inherently good. Man only seems evil because he is tempted by the devil and does negative things.

neither. we're inherently animals. all of our behaviours are dictated by our animalistic ancestry. some brains get a little miswired and appear evil, but they're still just drawing on certain animalistic traits from hundreds, millions of years of evolution.

No man chooses evil because it is evil;
he only mistakes it for happiness,
the good he seeks.

Biblically they are inherently evil. It says in Romans that "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." the only way to heaven is through Jesus. Not to sound preachy, but it's true. ask a Christian friend about it. you sound like you are at a crossroads, my friend.
